Jevoid privacy policy
Last updated: 29 September 2026 · Jevoid is an unofficial extension and is not affiliated with TypeSafe AI.
Jevoid is a Chrome extension that hides ads and pop-ups, can show only the article on article pages, and can block chosen types of pages. It runs in your browser. Jevoid has no server, no account system and no analytics.
Who is responsible
LensLabs (Jordi). Contact: lenslabsAI@gmail.com.
What is sent, and when
Jevoid decides most things locally, using built-in rules and heuristics. Only when a decision is uncertain, and only if you have added a Jev API key, it sends a short description to the Jev API (api.typesafe.ai), which is run by TypeSafe AI:
- Ambiguous page elements: the site's hostname and page title, and for each element its tag, class and id words, shape and size in words, position, up to three external link hostnames, a text excerpt of up to 150 characters, and detected signals.
- Pop-ups Jevoid cannot classify locally: the heading, button labels and up to 250 characters of text. Cookie and consent notices, and pop-ups you opened yourself, are never sent.
- Article mode (only if you turn it on), for pages without clear article markup: the URL path pattern with numbers replaced, the first headings, a 200-character opening excerpt and a few size and link-density words. Extracting the article happens entirely in your browser.
- Block pages by type (only if you tick a type): for a site Jevoid does not already know, its hostname, page title, meta description, first three headings,
og:typeand up to five words from the URL path. Sites on the built-in lists, and sites Jevoid has already learned, are not sent.
Never sent: full page text, form fields, passwords, cookies, query strings, full URLs or your browsing history. Elements containing inputs, text areas or editable content are never analysed. Nothing is sent if you have not added an API key.
Data sent to the Jev API is processed by TypeSafe AI under your own account and their terms and privacy policy. Jevoid does not receive a copy.
What is stored on your device
In your browser's extension storage only: your settings and API key, learned per-site element patterns (class-name signatures and vote counts, no page content), learned site types, your allowed sites, an optional PIN (stored only as a salted hash, with a hashed recovery code), and simple usage counters. You can clear learned data in the popup, and removing the extension deletes everything.
Support link
The popup contains a link to a Ko-fi page. It only opens if you click it. Jevoid shares no data with Ko-fi. Whether you dismissed the support prompt is stored on your device.
Sharing and selling
Jevoid does not sell or share your data, does not use it for advertising or credit decisions, and does not transfer it to anyone other than the Jev API as described above.
